Coach Brandon Hall

Coach Brandon Hall is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt under the Carlson Gracie Jr. lineage, through Jeremy Carter, Carlson Gracie Jr. black belt, and Jacob Morgan, Carlson Gracie Jr. brown belt.

A former competitive mixed martial arts fighter, Coach Hall holds a combined amateur and professional MMA record of 14–2, with five championship titles across three weight classes: heavyweight, light heavyweight, and middleweight. In 2011, he was inducted into the Gladiator Fighting Championships Hall of Fame for his work with Gladiator Fighting Championship and his role in helping bring organized mixed martial arts to Eastern Kentucky.

Coach Hall has also trained in Muay Thai, including training through Nathan Sesco, and private lessons with Dorian Price, a veteran American mixed martial artist and Muay Thai specialist who spent more than nine years living and competing in Thailand.

He brings more than 19 years of professional experience in Virginia’s public-safety and law-enforcement system. That includes defensive tactics under Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) standards, specialized training through Controlled FORCE, physical control and restraint, de-escalation, situational awareness, safety, and crisis response.

His focus is on developing safe, confident, disciplined, and technically sound young athletes, and on teaching respect, responsibility, perseverance, self-control, and confidence. The goal is not simply to teach children how to fight. It is to use jiu-jitsu to help them become stronger, more disciplined, and more confident people.
